If you like to shop online for your kid’s stuff and want high street prices then take a look at Verbaudet.

Although best known for its clothing its baby and children’s furniture is a great buy. Keep an eye out in particular for its brightly painted seating and tables.

The chairs are on offer for £18.75 at the moment and come in a fab range of colours. My particular favourite is the dark yellow.

They also stock some great little storage cubes in green, pink, white and orange for £35.

Zero to 10 Likes..Christmas Angel Wings

This is a repost from last year- I will be making new wings for Christmas 2012. Please contact me if you would like some wings made for your little ones!

‘I am currently looking at some angel inspired rooms/interiors and going to share the results of my find in the next few days.

Room topic started off from the creating of angel wings and trousers for my little boy who wasn’t best pleased at being picked to be an angel in his school Christmas show ( Angels were a bit of a ‘girl’ thing apparently). With a three year old to win over, I’m glad to say though that with no tinsel in site, he was really pleased and looked the part.

I followed a pattern on making his wings which was really easy although would have to say that they do take a lot of stuffing. I would say that in the day of so many off the peg costumes being available it is really satisfying to make your own, even if it isn’t all of it.

Go on, give it a go…even if you just sew on some new buttons, create a headscarf, home-made is really rewarding!’

I love this time of year even though I would class myself as a summer sunshine addict.

I actually like it because there are normally fab new ranges and products on the marketplace and as a interior buff, you just get spoilt for choice. At the moment I’ve turned my attention to the wonderful world of wallpaper.

As you may be aware, I have just ordered this wonderful wallpaper created by ISAK (above) and sold via The Modern Baby Co. This one isn’t new for the Autumn but I do love it. Anyway, before making my choice I was originally on the lookout for animal print papers and found these below before opting for the bright and bold ISAK print.

Ferm Living have a nice graphic paper in green and white, a great one for a neutral bedroom. It’s available from lots of different stores in the UK and retails for c. £60 per roll! This image is courtesy of Dotmaison.com

British company Mini Moderns goes from strength to strength- they have a lovely butterfly inspired print on one of their wallpaper designs which is really stunning and suitable from babies right through to lovely grandmas!

If you like bold and beautiful go for it, pattern repeats are great fun!

Yes, yes I know, IKEA is great; flat packed, furniture for the masses, but sometimes, just sometimes we need to take a step back and appreciate and applaud hand crafted, limited edition furniture that is created by local designers.

Step forward Anthony Hartley, furniture maker and designer from Yorkshire. Anyone who knows me and my work know how much I love bold colours and Anthony has these down to a tee.

His main pieces are all bespoke with the wonderful Mr and Mrs Smith the Second, Edna (pic below), Sidney and Frank are all made to order by Anthony in his Haworth workshop.

His range includes fantastic tables and chairs starting from £195. I urge you to have a look at his work and be inspired by his brilliance and originality.
